Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

This homemade tzatziki sauce is a delicious blend of yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, dill and lemon juice. A mediterranean diet staple, it's simple to make and packed with fresh, real ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek Yogurt, plain full fat recommended
  • 3 English Cucumbers peeled if desired
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced or grated
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Grate cucumbers and place in colander for a few minutes to drain. Squeeze grated cucumber in paper towel to drain as much water as possible
  • Place drained cucumber in a large mixing bowl
  • Add yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, garlic, dill, and olive oil to bowl
  • Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper as needed
  • Garnish with fresh dill if desired

Notes

Note - tzatziki sauce will keep in fridge for about 3 days
