Ingredients

extra virgin olive oil
1/2
onion, diced
5
cloves
garlic, minced
1
28oz
can of crushed tomatoes
1/4
cup
water
1
tsp
dried oregano
1
tsp
dried basil
1
pinch
red pepper flakes
Instructions
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat
Add the diced onion and cook about 4-5 minutes before adding the garlic and cooking for an additional 1 minute
Add the can of crushed tomatoes, water, dried oregano, basil, and pinch of red pepper flakes
Bring to a strong simmer, then reduce to low and allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is thick and creamy
Notes
This sauce will last in the fridge for up to 7 days or you can freeze it for later enjoyment
