September Seasonal Produce is full of late summer favorites and early fall classics like apples and pumpkins. Sharing what’s in season this month and some of our favorite recipes.
What Fruits and Vegetables are In Season in September?
September is a great month as far as fresh produce is concerns. There are still some late season fruits and veggies to enjoy – like berries and sweet summer corn. But we also see some fall favorites starting to pop up (looking at you pumpkins).
Please note that sometimes seasonal produce can vary slightly depending on where you live.

Apples
A fall favorite, apple are just starting to come into season and can be used in a variety of dishes.

Berries
Blackberries and Raspberries are still generally in season this month. Strawberries can still be found depending on where you live but quality may not be as great as peak season.
Cucumbers
Typically available year round, the season for the best cucumbers is nearing their end. It’s a great time to take advantage of their crisp and refreshing flavor.
Eggplant
A delicious ingredient in many dishes, eggplant also makes a great, hearty option for meatless meals. This Deconstructed Eggplant Parm Pasta is a great recipe.

Pears
A favorite of ours, pears are great as a snack, paired with cheese, added to salads or poached for a delicious dessert.
Tomatoes
