Smoothies are one of our favorite ways to pack in more fruits and vegetables into our day. This delicious smoothie was made using ingredients that many improve brain health and function.

Crazy for Smoothies

We have been loving smoothies lately. I find that in the winter months, it’s a great way to get a wide variety of fruits and veggies by using frozen ones. Some of our favorite fruits like strawberries, peaches and pineapple aren’t in season so instead of paying more for unripe versions we just buy the frozen kind instead.

I also find I can add a few more ingredients into smoothies that my kids normally are huge fans of…spinach and avocado come to mind.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups water
  • 0.5 cups 100% pomegranate juice (we love POM Wonderful)
  • 1 frozen banana (peeled)
  • 1 cup frozen wild blueberries
  • 2 scoops Memore
  • 1/2 avocado (pit and peel removed)
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into two glasses and enjoy.
