Every week, we share a summary of my family’s Mediterranean diet Meal plan, as a way to simply share ideas and recipes.
We also share a few thing we’ve been loving lately near the bottom of the article. This ranges from recipes, products or just anything in between.

How We Meal Plan
We go more in depth on how we go about planning meals in this post – Meal Planning Guide but just to quickly summarize –
- Breakfast is usually pretty standard in our house so I don’t include it on our meal plan list
- My kids either bring a bagged lunch or buy hot lunch at school so I only meal plan for my lunch (and my husband if he is working from home that day)
- I include notes on some days to indicate if the meal is something we have to make quickly, on the go, etc. This really helps when it comes to planning meals and buying food to know our schedule in advance.
- On Saturdays we typically eat leftovers and eat out for lunch or dinner. I indicate that on the meal plan each week but just in case you were wondering
What We Ate this Week
Our normal meal planning schedule got mixed up a bit this week due to payday issues but we made it work. Therefore, towards the end of the week we had to stretch meals a bit instead of going to the store on our normal grocery shopping day. That’s why you’ll see a few more “hodge podge” meals than usual.
We also are fully in softball and little league season, so some nights require a quick and easy dinner before showers and bedtime.
I did have a goal this week to focus on including more plant based lunches into our meals. I’d say it was a success for the most part and quite tasty!

What We Loved this Week
I popped into Whole Foods and found a few new snacks to try that I absolutely loved!
We’ve tried both the Everything Flavor and Bombay Spice. Both are great! These are a great on the go snack or would be great on top of a salad for some crunch.
My husband didn’t love these as much as the Biena snacks but I thought they were just as delicious!
Spicy Cashew Butter Dressing
This dressing is from Trader Joe’s and I have become obsessed with finding things to put it on this week. It’s got a pretty good kick heat wise but isn’t overwhelming. So so good on salads.
