Perfectly light & fluffy, these Baked Pumpkin Donuts are made using the freshest spice combination from Raw Spice Bar.
Disclsoure: I originally posted this article on my blog on December 15, 2016 but I have updated the pictures and reposted. I received a free sample of the spices mentioned in this post. However, the views expressed are purely my own, nor was I compensated for my time.
If my constantly overflowing spice cabinet is any indication, I love using spices when cooking and baking. I feel like I should wear a hard hat when opening the cabinet door in fear of falling spice jars.
One thing I hate though is when you have to buy a full size jar of a certain spice and then the recipe uses like 1/8 tsp. This is fine for more common spices that you can easily add to a variety of dishes. But what about when the spice is a great, exotic flavor that you aren’t sure how else to use? Spices are not cheap and I’m often weary of experimenting with a new spice because I don’t want to spend the money on a one time buy. As a one income family, it’s hard to justify spending $10 on a jar of spices that I might only use once.
That’s where Raw Spice Bar comes in! They are a company that provides monthly spice box kits, delivered straight to your door. Each kit contains 3 different fresh spice combination packets, accompanied by great tasting recipes showing you how to use those spices.
In my first package, I received 3 amazing spice combinations: Indo-French Vadouvan Spice, Peppercorn Chai, and Unpumpkin Pie Spice. Each packet contains freshly toasted and freshly ground spices. Each of the 3 spices came with two delicious recipe cards, showing fresh and amazing ways to use the spices.
I decided to try the Unpumpkin Pie Spice first and made this Baked Pumpkin Donuts recipe that accompanied the spice delivery. I am now in love, with a donut.
The donuts came out so flavorful and perfectly light and fluffy! I had planned on giving some to my neighbors for the holidays, but between myself and the kids, we basically ate them all! The spice combination made the entire kitchen smell like a mixture of cloves, cinnamon and pumpkin. So in other words heavenly!
I can’t wait to experiment with the other spice combinations I received in my Raw Spice Bar shipment. I’ll share the other creations soon. Are you a donut fan?

Hi there, I have a question. Did you use the plain canned pumpkin, or the kind that has spices and sugar already added? Thanks!
Hi Kelly, I just used plain pumpkin, not the kind with the spice added.
These look so perfect! I need to try making them soon! <3!
Easy, delicious and quick!
