Magazines Make Me Happy

I am one of those people that collect magazines. Who is with me?


I buy one almost every time I’m waiting in line at the grocery store and have a stack on my counter with ear marked pages of various recipes, hair styles to try or a random rug I want to buy for my living room.

Naturally I was super excited when the lovely people behind Food to Love magazine reached out and asked if I would like a copy of their “Farmer’s Market” special edition copy.

I couldn’t type “YES” fast enough.

Farmer’s Market Fresh Recipes

Not only did they combine my love of recipes (hello 110 recipes packed between two cover pages) but my love of fresh, farmer’s market produce as well.

This magazine is designed to showcase produce you can find at your local farmer’s market. There are tons of different recipe categories to fit your needs and almost any ingredient you can think of can be found in this magazine.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me reference this magazine on multiple occasions in my stories. I can honestly say I’m in love. I’ve already made 3 different recipes and don’t have any plans of stopping soon.

Crispy Skin Salmon

This Crispy Skin Salmon with Pickled Cucumber Salad is probably my favorite so far. It may seem complicated, but it’s actually pretty simple and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients. I shared it step by step in my instagram stories to show that anyone can do it!

I used to get kind of creeped out my the skin on fish, but after having crispy skin in a restaurant once, I became a believer. The key to getting crispy skin is to get the pan really hot and then leave it while the fish cooks skin side down, without touching or moving it.

The pickled cucumber salad is so refreshing and packs a little bit of heat from the red pepper. Simple ingredients but full of flavor, it pairs so well with the healthy fat packed salmon.
