These Sticky Baked Chicken Wings are the answer to my holiday appetizer prayers. Simple to make and a healthy alternative to spicy fried wings.
Disclosure – I received a free copy of the magazine mentioned below. I did not receive any compensation nor was I asked to provide a review. I simply enjoy the recipe discussed below.
Confession Time
I’m prepared to make a confession….are you ready?
Here goes….I don’t really like chicken wings.
I find them too spicy and I hate that you need like 1,000 napkins when you eat them. Which is sad because my husband’s number one dream in life is to split a basket of wings at dinner. It’s been tough on our marriage.
Food to Love Magazine Inspiration
Then I received the Essential Holiday Edition of Food To Love Magazine in the mail. While flipping through all the gorgeous holiday themed recipes, I stopped on this Sticky Chicken Wings with Dipping Sauce recipe.
I was intrigued because it didn’t call for buffalo or hot sauce and wasn’t served with the traditional creamy blue cheese dressing. Plus they are baked instead of fried, which is a win health-wise and also less mess to clean up. The bonus was that many of the ingredients are one that I always tend to have on hand.
Baked Chicken Wings to the Rescue
So I gave it a try and you guys….I am now Team Baked Chicken Wings!
These Sticky Chicken Wings have such a great flavor all on their own but paired with the asian-inspired dipping sauce they are heavenly!
They would be perfect for a holiday party because your guests won’t need 1,000 napkins to enjoy them.
Are you a fan of chicken wings? What do you think of these non-saucy style?

Hi Brynn,
I’ve never been a fan of messy chicken wings either. And I’d don’t care much for spicy foods.
I would love to try these non-saucy wings. They look delicious.
We are wing twins! Let me know if you try them out and what you think.
