I am usually not a huge fan of almond butter (I am team peanut butter through and through) but I actually like this Barney Butter one a lot. It’s not as dry as some other almond butters I’ve had and I really like the vanilla & espresso flavor. It has real espresso beans crumbled into it, which I love!
The packs are nice because it helps with portion control…each pack is only 100 calories (a perfect amount for a snack) and the pack makes it easy to put in a lunch bag or take on the go. So far I’ve had mine on apple slices and spread on a piece of whole wheat toast.
Almond butter has a lot less sugar and sodium than peanut butter. You do have to watch the amount you eat because it’s made primarily of nuts, which are pretty nutrient dense. Nuts are also a great source of protein and healthy fats. Barney Butters are peanut free and gluten free, so it’s great for anyone that has a peanut allergy or gluten sensitivity.
