How to Make a Tropical Smoothie with Frozen Fruit

This Tropical Smoothie is so good and budget friendly. We love making a smoothie with frozen fruit because it can be made all year long.

Even though as we are posting this our fridge is currently bursting with fresh summer produce, we still can’t get enough of this Tropical Smoothie with Frozen Fruit.

Frozen fruit is a delicious and very budget friendly way to get in those daily servings of fruit. It can be stored in the freezer all year long, so there’s nothing stopping you from making this tropical drink in the dead of winter.

Full disclosure – we are partners with the Memore brand mentioned in this post and the link provided to their website is an affiliate link, which means if you make a purchase from the provided link we may receive a small commission.

Frozen Fruit Smoothies

Frozen fruit is just as nutritious as fresh fruit, which many people are surprised to learn. It’s also great for buying specific fruits that might not currently be in season. For example, you can get frozen strawberries all year long.

Another great reason for using frozen fruit is that it doesn’t spoil as quickly as fresh fruit. If you’ve ever over estimated just how much fruit your family will eat in a week, you the know that feeling all too well.

Popping frozen fruit into smoothies is also a little trick for making the smoothie a little thicker without needing extra ice.

Tropical Smoothie Recipe

This tropical smoothie features bright flavors like pineapple and mango. We used coconut water in place of regular water to add a little more of that tropical island flavor. A frozen banana and some plain greek yogurt add a creamy texture.

We also added some brain boosting Memore into this smoothie. Memore is a functional nutrition beverage powder that uses whole food ingredients to support brain health. It’s made with things like blueberries, spinach, and sweet potatoes – all of which may prevent cognitive decline and dementia. One serving is also an entire serving of dark green leafy veggies and provides a good amount of dietary fiber.
