I am a firm believer that there is no single “correct” way to eat healthy. Everyone is different and what works for one person doesn’t work for another. Creating a healthy lifestyle means finding out what works best for you and your family.
A great example of this is breakfast. It came to my attention recently that I typically eat the same thing for breakfast everyday (either eggs or a protein smoothie). That works for me. However, that doesn’t work for everyone. Eggs are a great source of protein and in my house, a quick and easy breakfast. But what if you don’t eat eggs?
I rounded up some great non-egg breakfast ideas with a little help from my friends. Take a look at all the great breakfast ideas below…
Smoothies
- A great way to add a variety of fruits and even leafy green veggies to your day
- Smoothies are a great option for breakfast on the go. They are portable, take only a few minutes to make, and can be frozen or packed in advance to make meal prep that much faster
- Using milk, yogurt or protein powder can also add some important protein to your morning meal
