Fresh summer produce has to be one of life’s greatest pleasures. Tomatoes grown on the vine, sweet corn on the corn, juicy watermelon, tart cherries, the deliciousness is endless.
One of my favorite summer fruits has to be strawberries. I’m talking red, juicy, sweet strawberries in the height of the summer season. When you can buy a pint for $2 and eat the whole thing before you even make it home. Fresh strawberries = summertime.
Not only are strawberries full of flavor, they are a “berry” nutritious powerhouse.
