Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice

[lead]I absolutely love fall for many reasons….but one of my favorite reasons is all things pumpkin related. Pumpkin pie (obviously), pumpkin scented candles, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bagels and of course Pumpkin Spice Lattes…I adore you all![/lead]


 

That being said, I’m not sure if you are aware that most coffee shop chain’s Pumpkin Spice Lattes don’t actually contain any pumpkin. They actually just have a bunch of weirdly named ingredients and preservatives and “flavorings” that it kinda takes the fun out of drinking one on a chilly morning (or another while shopping at Target, or another mid-day, or another at night…you get my drift).

 

So, I hit the world wide web and searched for healthier recipe versions for this fall time treat. I found many out there and personally tested out 3 different versions. Most were very similar, but I liked this one from Pop Sugar Fitness the best.

What I liked best is that it actually used real ingredients and hold on to your hats….actually contained pumpkin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Let me know if you are a Pumpkin Spice Latte lover like me…maybe we can start a book club, without books, where we just get together, sit in a circle and talk about our love of pumpkin. Or is that just my dream?
