Stepping Up My Fitness

venI think of wellness like a circle, with the overlapping sections being you are your healthiest and happiest self. For me, that happens when I incorporate exercise and personal growth (emotional well begin, spirituality, strong personal relationships, me time) into my everyday life.

It’s easy to get caught up in just focusing on one goal, such as eating healthy and let the other areas of wellness get lost in the shuffle. There is just so much to do and remember each day! That’s why I like challenges or online groups designed to support and encourage each other to reach their goals. No one can do it all alone.

I always slack on fitness and exercise. The older I get, the more I see the physical changes that not exercising regularly has on my body. Gravity is one strong son of a bitch. However, fitness means so much more than just physical appearance. I’m tired of being tired, sluggish, short tempered, and just generally feeling lazy.

So, I joined the Tone It Up 8 Week Bikini Series Challenge. I’ve followed Karena and Katrina from Tone It Up for awhile….they are the most genuine people online in my opinion. To me they just enjoy life and concentrate on working fitness and nutrition into their everyday lifestyles. The best part is, they seem to really have a blast in doing so, their energy is contagious. Not to mention their kick ass bodies.

The program is an 8 week fitness challenge designed to get you ready for bikini season. The best part is, all the workouts are posted online and are completely free! Plus you get access to a network of people going thru the same challenge as you…people to motivate you, connect with and just share your journey. Their is a nutrition plan available (for a fee) to accompany the challenge, but I’m just sticking with the fitness portion (I think I have the nutrition portion under control).

The challenge officially starts on Monday, April 25th but if you sign up now you get a starter pack with fitness tips, nutrition tips and resources on how to be successful in the challenge.

 

Nothing motivates you more than posting a goal online! So I’m putting mine out there, wish me luck.

If anyone signs up, let me know! We can form a little online group to motivate and check in with each other.
