Easy Baked Shrimp- Cooking Tips
Shrimp are a staple in our household. Not only does it help us reach our goal of seafood twice a week, but it’s something we can keep on hand in the freezer for quick meals.
For this Crispy Baked Shrimp recipe, we kept the ingredients simple – frozen shrimp, Texas Pete® Honey Mustard Sauce, panko style breadcrumbs, a little flour, egg, salt, pepper, olive oil, and garlic powder. All items you can keep on hand to make a quick, easy meal.
Rather than pan fry the shrimp, we decided to bake them. It requires less oil, plus you can bake the entire pan of shrimp all at once. We are all about time saving steps in the kitchen. In order to get that golden brown crust on the shrimp, we simply toasted the panko and spices in a small pan over the stove before coating the shrimp. It only takes a few extra minutes and really adds that great crispy, tossed flavor to the shrimp.
These shrimp are really flavorful because we also used the Texas Pete® Honey Mustard Sauce on the shrimp before they bake. Not only does it help add a great flavor to shrimp on their own, it helps those toasted breadcrumbs stick to the shrimp while cooking.
The end result is an easy, flavorful dinner that the whole family will love that bakes in less than 15 minutes. Be sure to have plenty of Texas Pete® Honey Mustard Sauce on hand for dipping those crispy baked shrimp into!

Serving Suggestions
Our whole family loves these crispy shrimp as the main course. They go fast so sometimes we make a double batch!
Typically while the shrimp is baking in the oven we pull together a big green salad filled with all our favorites like cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, etc. Our kids also love them with some pasta on the side or something simple like tomato soup.
These baked shrimp also make a great appetizer for small get togethers or just as a fun, family snack.
